Lyle & Scott was based in 1874 in the miniature Scottish small town of Hawick. The firm was supported by William Lyle and Walker Scott and to begin with began to nurture power underclothes. In 1967, Mr Scott planned the now worldwide major gilded eagle trademark which was reputed to be a sign of Scotland and have contacts beside golf.
